In November this year we took part in the largest exhibition-conference European Utility Week in Paris. The congress was dedicated to modern solutions for electric networks – intelligent electricity metering systems, integration of renewable sources and smart buildings.

The exhibition was spent under a new unifying brand: European Utility Week teamed up with POWERGEN Europe and created Enlit. Events were held under the laconic name of the created business platform.

“What If….the entire sector could connect to shape the world’s energy future?” – asks Enlit, and this suggests that the organizers have big plans.  The co-location of European Utility Week & POWERGEN Europe was the first step in providing platform for the energy transition, in 2019. This platform is designed to change the practical experience and develop combined solutions for the entire energy supply chain, from power generation to end use, under one roof.

Part of reports was devoted to metering devices for electricity, water and gas and to its role in global energy transformation. Exhibiting companies added theory with practice and demonstrated the latest developments at the stands.

We also presented one of our products at the Quectel stand – DTU NB-IoT data logger for smart water metering. Battery-powered data logger designed to ensure precise remote resources monitoring (electricity, gas, heat and water). DTU27 provides automated data collection from meters with pulse output, stores readings in non-volatile memory and transmits them to dispatching server via the built-in cellular modem over the NB-IoT network.

European Utility Week brought together more than 18,000 European opinion leaders and professionals behind the world’s most successful utility discoveries and solutions.

European Utility Week is the landmark event for the power industry. We hope to visit next year!
