Fuel Level Monitoring Using DTU227 Data Logger
Fuel tank level monitoring solution using ADGT DTU227 data loggers.
In case of scheduled maintenance of an electrical substation or an accident at the substation, it is necessary to provide electricity to consumers. For this purpose, a standby generator installation running on liquid fuel is used.
SOLUTION
Fuel level consumption can be monitored using a fuel level sensor connected to DTU227 Data Logger via RS-232/RS-485 interface.
Fuel level sensor is mounted in the fuel tank. Data logger polls the sensor and transmits data on a schedule to the cloud server over the NB-IoT network (see the scheme). Our device has two SIM card slots for reliable wireless connectivity.
DTU227 receives 7-30 VDC power supply from an external power supply unit connected to the generator. In addition, data logger has a built-in 3200mAh ER18505 battery for back-up power in an emergency.
