Operation in the NB-IoT Network

In order for the DTU1xx data logger to connect to the NB-IoT network, the modem must specify the name of the NB-IoT network of the operator through which the data is to be transmitted.

This parameter is called PLMN (public land mobile network) and is a 5-digit code of the mobile network service area, consisting of the mobile country code (MCC) and the mobile operator network code (MNC).

In order to set a new PLMN code:

1. Ask your mobile network operator for the new PLMN of the NB-IoT network.
2. Set the new PLMN code in the data logger. PLMN can only be installed when the device is connected to a PC, using the DTU Configuration Tool. In the program, on the System tab, enter the PLMN number in the Operator Name line (for more information, see System Settings).
